I was at the Station Inn on March 29th and thought it was fantastic. I traveled to Nashville from Orlando FL specially to see the show and it was well worth it. Definitely the best new band I've heard for a long time!
You guys are great, we wish you'd come to play in Lawrence, Kansas. You'd find a supportive audience here. The Cypress Avenue show on KCRW in KC has been promoting your CD quite a bit. Every Saturday it's the same refrain: "More Steel Drivers! more Steel Drivers!" You guys are great
It's Saturday morning after the Bluegrass returns to its roots concert in Owensboro.Whow.My freinds and I were out in the lobby when the concert started, because we knew the first band is always just okay.wrong.We ran into the showroom. After the first song we were glued to our seats. What talent! Steeldrivers are in my top 3 bands to listen to and watch. Thanks for coming.
I'm from western Virginia and know my bluegrass. You guys are truely the masters of "modern" bluegrass! Original and outstanding!! I'll see you in Alexandria, Va. on May 16th!! I really can't wait!!
We caught your shows at owensboro this past weekend. GREAT!!!!!!!!!! We have been looking for a great band. And you are it!!! A lot of energy you have!!! We bought both cds and think they are great.
We used to civil war re-enact and think the song sticks that made thunder is so very good. I was at the 125th gettysburg and I can remember the colors coming up the hill and that is all we could see for a time. your song gave me chills when I heard the it.
I'm a new fan, but really like the CD. You should visit the Bluegrass shop in BlueRidge, GA and thank that guy because he is really pushing your music as new and hot - and I'm glad he convinced me.
We were at the Grand Ole' Opry on Tuesday, April 15, and heard your performance! It was amazing. We bought the CD, and we love it. We were a little disappointed that the song you sang about "I'm an old man...crossing over" (sorry, the mind has lost the lyrics!) wasn't on it. Are you releasing another CD soon, AND will that song be on it? Thanks for a great show!
The 1st time we heard "Drinkin' Dark Whiskey", we fell in love with your music! Every time Mojo Nixon plays it on Sirius Outlaw Country, Burle cranks up the volume on our surround sound system. I really hope that ya'll play in WV sometime so we can hopefully get to see ya'll in concert & maybe get to meet ya. We're both disabled from work injuries which makes it difficult for us to travel & stuff, but I'm pretty confident I could get Burle out of the house to come see ya'll if you were playing close enough & we could afford it!! I have every intention of buying your CD & hope to be able to buy him more band stuff as I can afford it. Burle is a musician, too, but he hasn't played much since he got hurt & that's a shame cause he was an awesome guitar player!! He'd have that Strat smokin' hot! It was so great to watch him!! He doesn't get very excited over much new music but he's absolutely nuts about "Dark Whiskey"!! I haven't seem him that excited & into a song in a long, long time!! Maybe ya'll can get him to pick his guitar up again!! Ya'll be safe, take care & God bless ya!! Know that you've got a couple of WV fans that are music nuts & just love your sound!!
I live in Boone, NC, and heard "Hear the Willow Cry" on 92.9 WNCW one day on my lunch break. I could not get that song out of my head and needed the CD immediately. However, we have no major music store chains close around. I found your video cilps from CMT 330 Sessions and about wore them out.
I attended Merlefest this past weekend and found your CD on the Rounder table, and it hasn't left my CD player yet, and won't for some time. Thank you so much for carrying on this music, preserving that great, tight traditional sound, but adding an original sound of your own. Can'twait to see you guys live!
Best Album I've heard in years. Hope ya'll make it to Georgia sometime soon. Thanks for the music!

Howdy from North Texas! I caught your Opry TV appearance--wow! You guys are gettin' it on! I knew about Richard from his playing with Patty Mitchell, but was not familiar with the rest of the band; now I am looking forward to buying your CD and learning some of your songs. It would be great to have y'all come down to Texas to play! Sincerely, Warren

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your show at The Station Inn last Saturday. My wife and I had been all over the regular Nashville and Memphis scene; Opry, Ryman, CMHF, back-stage tours and all, Studio B, Sun Studios, and Graceland. We were exhausted from the first vacation we had had in 15 years, but it was great to end our visit with the real sound of an terrifically talented bluegrass group. Mike mentioned to me, on leaving the stage, that his goal was seeing folks happy, or something to that effect. I will tell you, Mike, that my Father was a announcer in the early days of radio and TV. He told me once how he learned to smile on the radio because it made a difference in the sound. I noticed that habit forward in his TV work when TV came around. Few things are better in this world than leaving people feeling better than when you found them. You guys sure put a smile on our faces. Wish you all the best success.
I SAW YOUR BAND ON GRAND OLD OPRY LIVE ON GAC, I THOUGHT YOU BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN, I CANT WAIT TO SEE A VIDEO OR SOMETHING TO SHOW UP ON GAC OR CMT, OR AT LEAST GET TO HEAR YA'LL ON THE RADIO... YOUR BAND MERGEDGREAT WITH CHARLIE DANIELS, LOVE TO SEE MORE...
I was blown out of my recliner by your performance on the grand ole opry . My grandad would love to hear you .He picks the banjo .Where can I purchase your CD ?your music seems to calm the troubled waters of my soul. Keep it up please.
Just heard you on Opry live...glad to see that bluegrass still lives!

I´m a steeldriver from Germany and i just ordered your current album! It´s great bluegrass stuff (if you´re still satifsfied with this label) But what i find really disappointing is that you didn´t put the lyrics in the booklet? That makes me mad - really! Why is that? Do Bluegrass bands always cite quotations from magazines or netzines instead of putting the lyrics in the booklet? Nevertheless your music is top notch!
I missed the show at the birchmear.I will wait as long as it takes, and keep a eye on your tour dates.I wont ,miss the next one.Yours truly a new and avid fan.Scott
Saw you guys at the Birchmere It was really great meeting each of you after the show. I am truely honored. I grew up with bluegrass music and I am astounded by/with your originality. Your songs haven't left my mind all weekend. Thank you for a great night of entertainment!!
I cant seem to play any other of my bluegrass cd's. Evey time i turn around i want to hear yours again. Its very contagious. You all all very good and your songwriting is so exceptional its scary. I have had dreams of your songs in my head at night.I cant say enough about the soulfull, natural voice of Chris. Does he sing like that all night long ? Is it true he's the son of coal Miners? Not since Dave Evans have i heard such a powerfull soulfull natural voice. Its very hipnotic, and blends so well with the fiddle. You guys rock man.
Bluegrass Rock hmmmmmm you might be onto something here.I Cant wait to hear your next project. I havent been this excited about bluegrass since the Bluegrass Album Band. Keep up the good work.
Just saw you a few hours ago. Blown away. I used to play for a living until I got married and had kids. I've seen alot and it takes alot to move me. I'm 57 years old now and I was really changed by your band. The songs, the attitude, the skill, the heart...the attitude. I love Bluegrass but I would hate to try and identify what kind of music you are playing...it's American music...and it's very powerful...whatever it is..I hope you can keep it up. I'm a hardcore fan now. Thanks for taking those chances that you take up there on the stage.
I want to let you all know...that you guys are the shit. I was wondering if you ever though of coming to central FL. I was also wondering if you ever heard of the Spirit of Suwanne Music Park- Magnolia Fest and Spring Fest.. musicliveshere.com
I just read an article in the paper about your band and Chris,s name caught my eye. I am a Stapleton too and came from a town about 15 miles from Paintsville called Red Bush. I have been down here 46 years but Paintsville-Red Bush-Flat Gap is still home.I have been abluegrass fan all my life. I love Ralph Stanley. I will look forward to getting your cd. Best of luck and keep blue grass growing.
Is Tammy Married? :) You guys Rock! Finally, Bluegrass I can really listen to.
You guys make grown men weep and dry bones walk again...
